MATURING <br />By Reid Baer <br /><br />As I stood searching <br />in the mirror nervously <br />looking at my graying hair <br />fleshy jowls <br />bushy eyebrows <br />moles or beauty marks <br />and a two-day-old beard <br />I noticed the man <br />in the face watchfully <br />gazing back <br />almost startlingly <br />powerful <br />as I thought my father <br />once to be <br />with a hint of a smile <br />assuring himself in me <br />- <br /><br />Music by Mark Cool
